Despite being one of the busiest most touristy areas in San Francisco, the Embarcadero ranks high on my Sf favorites list. There’s so much to see and do and the views are breathtaking. When you stop by during off hours you get to really soak in the beauty of it all. I used to make this my morning running trail. I would start in the Marina by Fort Mason Park and run along the Embarcadero to AT&T park. The everyday hustle and bustle of the area makes this a very interesting and fun run, but it’s also nice to just take in the beautiful city.

Another one of my favorite things to do on weekends was to make the long trek (3 miles) from our apartment to the Ferry Building farmers market. We would walk through Nob Hill, Chinatown, and the Financial District for one of the hilliest walks you’ll come across in the city. A workout for sure, but the views are absolutely stunning (see photos here)! The Ferry Building farmers market is a favorite of mine for obvious reasons. If you ever come to sf, this is an absolute must on Thursdays or Saturdays. Stay tuned for a post covering the farmers market and some of my favorite vendors inside the Ferry Building.

Some other things to do along the Embarcadero:

Fisherman’s Wharf
Ghirardelli Square
Ferry Building
AT&T Park
Justin Herman Plaza

If you’ve been, what are some of your favorite areas along the Embarcadero?
