Weekend Recap 06

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? I think I’m still on a high from yesterday’s glorious weather. Only about 60 degrees, but when it’s been freezing and dreary, you’ll take it. Just feeling the sun on my back felt so amazing… wow it sounds like I’ve been living in a cave for months lol. I never thought I was one of those people whose mood was affected by weather, but I can officially say it does. Seeing people outside, the light that fills your house, the sounds of spring – it really makes me feel hopeful, happy, and grateful – heartwarming if you will. Now, if we can just get more of said weather and less snow in the forecast, that would be great.

Friday we worked downtown all day. We headed over to my aunt’s for dinner, which we realized, we hadn’t been there since the holidays. Talk about the day-to-day grind taking over. Note to self – hang out with your family more. We ordered take-out Thai food, which really hit the spot. We’ve had Thai food out recently, but I must say, don’t underestimate Thai takeout. Drunken noodles, curry, and wine with the fam, yes please!

Saturday was absolutely boring. I worked the entire day. The non-stop rain plus deadlines really doesn’t allow you to enjoy your weekends sometimes. Shoot days have to be rescheduled and oftentimes that means working on your day off. Come on spring, get here soon. Sunday was amazing, as in, good for the sole. We originally didn’t have plans to get out of the house, but the weather was too good to stay in-doors. We headed to NW 23rd for coffee and donuts and then made our way downtown to check out the Banana Republic and J.Crew sales. I didn’t end up finding anything, but Mike came home with a new leather wallet. I get stores base inventory on customer demand, but come on J.Crew, let’s get some petite options in-store. I did spot a couple pieces worth checking out online in my sizes. These cargo skinny pants, this workout tank (size down), and this hoodie. My J.Crew catalogue just arrived and there’s a couple pieces in their that I need to check out for spring as well (hasn’t hit the site just yet).

Okay, who’s excited for the Bachelor finale tonight? I think I’m more curious to see the ATFR to see how their relationship is going, considering Nick is supposedly in it for fame… who’s watching?
