Because most of you probably work in an office of some sorts, I thought I’d share how I take a pair of classic blank pants from work to dinner or drinks with the girls. One of the easiest things you can do is swap out your heels for a pair of comfy flats (if you’re not already in them by the end of the work day). If you keep them sleek, you can easily make them work with your more polished business casual look. When I wear more dressier pieces, like blank pants and a blouse, I love the idea of adding denim. Denim is a great way to dress down pretty much anything. It gives off that casual, relaxed, and cool vibe you’re looking to achieve after a long day at work. And lastly, leave your work tote behind and grab a statement clutch. It’s the perfect piece to add to keep your look more playful and fun.
Speaking of classic blank pants, these from Rag & Bone are pretty freaking awesome. I had heard great things about the Simones, but wasn’t sure I was willing to pay such a hefty price. Well, once you try them on, that will change. They’re extremely slimming and I kind of love the high waist (it sucks everything in). They run long, but the material is so thick and luxe, you can easily roll the pant leg under without them coming undone. Not to mention, they’re extremely comfortable. While these were an investment, I know I’ll put them to good use for years to come.
