My Fall Wardrobe Challenge: 47 Outfits from 37 Pieces
It’s finally here! My Fall Wardrobe Challenge is done and I’m sharing over 40 outfits I created. I discovered several things during this challenge and one of them is – you can literally create a million outfits with 37 pieces. I could have created so many more looks, but I knew it would take me forever, so I wanted to show what I had so far. This was such a fun challenge and really proved a neutral wardrobe filled with basics is the way to go. I divided the looks into categories just for ease of reading, but you can easily wear an everyday outfit to work as well.
Everyday
Athleisure / Off-Duty
Business Casual
Slightly More Elevated
A couple other things I learned through this process. 1. Getting back to the basics was such a nice feeling. It took the fuss out of getting dressed and simple, elevated outfits are always chic in my opinion. 2. A black turtleneck is a must-have! I never in a million years would have thought that, but I’m telling you, they elevate any outfit. Get a good one that’s soft, flowy, and stretchy. 3. Who knew there were so many ways to wear a gray hoodie. I highly recommend adding one to your wardrobe. They’re a great way to look sporty, but when styled right, they still look elevated and put together. 4. Black jeans seemed to be the most versatile thing. I was able to create so many outfits with them. And lastly, neutral basics are great, but make sure you’re choosing pieces that fit well. My number one tip to always looking put together is wearing clothes that fit your body. Extra long cardigans, wide tall boots, really long bags, oversized anything (with a few exceptions) – all do a disservice to your style. Everything in my wardrobe and in this challenge fit me well – some jeans have been cut to hit right at the ankle, and a lot of the pieces are petite sizes.
So there you have it! I hope this inspires your day-to-day dressing and makes getting dressed everyday a little easier. Let me know if you have any questions in the comments.
To Note
- I ended up getting the high waisted Rag & Bone black jeans, so I swapped those out half way through. This is why you sometimes see black jeans with really big rips in the knees and black jeans with a small rip.
- I didn’t end up using the hat or scarves as much – I didn’t think the outfits needed them. I think if I ended up creating more outfits, I would have needed them to change things up more.
