I haven’t been able to really get into my winter wardrobe yet, so spring fashion hasn’t been totally on my radar. But, after doing some browsing the other day, I couldn’t help but gravitate toward all the new warm weather styles. I’m a cool weather kinda gal (hello layers), so it makes me laugh at myself the second I say that and than want to shop all the new spring styles. Because I got so excited about some of the pieces I saw, I thought it would be fun to share my favorite Spring 2018 trends with you. Just in case you’re having the winter blues already or are just ready to move on to spring, this post will hopefully brighten your day.
I swear, florals are on trend every spring, but, I’m not mad about it! It’s a great way to embrace the season and it’s just a nice breath of fresh air. Thankfully, the print has come along way and you can now find floral pieces done in more subtle, neutral ways.
Ivory / White Shoes
This past fall we saw the growing popularity of the white bootie. Well, it’s gone even farther and now you need a pair of white shoes in every style! Personally, I can’t get on the white boot trend, but I do love a white mule, flat, pump, or loafer. I recently picked up these mules from Madewell, but I also love these loafers from Sam Edelman. Pair your white shoes with light denim, a woven bag, and a nice tan and your spring ready. This combo might end up being my spring uniform!
This trend has been going strong for several years now and I love it! I’m not a blouse person per se, but there’s something about a statement blouse that lures me in. I love the idea of pairing something more feminine and fun with casual pieces like jeans and mules (creating a perfect balance). I’ve already seen so many cute blouses I want… give me all the ruffles and all the eyelet tops!
You know I’m excited about this trend! I ended up with a ton of woven and wicker bags last year, so I’m excited to see what’s new this season. Woven bags are a great way to incorporate a trend without breaking the bank or going too far out of your comfort zone. They pair well with denim cutoffs, jeans, dresses and can be dressed up or down.
Going from being pregnant to being a mother, there’s no time like the present where I’ve really embraced casual wear. My style has always been casual, so I couldn’t be more excited about this trend. When things become popular, it just means brands and retailers come out with even more options, which is always nice. Think the updated sweatshirt, more fun graphic tees, and leggings and joggers in every size. Get ready for even more athleisure looks from me this year!
I’m 1000% down with this trend… although I’ve seen knit jogger styles everywhere and I don’t know how I feel about those, lol. In general though, it’s the year to pull out all your favorite sneakers and not feel guilty. Casual wear is all the rage (which also happens to be on my trends list), so if you’re like me, you’ll be fully embracing sneakers. I can’t wait for some warmer weather, so I can start wearing sneakers with jeans and not freeze my butt off. I recently snagged a pair of Golden Goose sneakers and I also have my eye on these leopard ones.
