I recently teamed up with Zappos to talk about some of my favorite fall trends. I’ve been wearing cropped flares for a while now, but they’re hotter than ever now that we’ve entered denim season. While they’re super flattering on all sizes (even short girls), they’re not the easiest pair of jeans to find or commit to. I’m wearing The Olivia from Joe’s Jeans in Regan (a deep black). Despite the inseam running really long on me, these jeans are amazing. Since the raw hem is on-trend right now, I decided to cut the bottom hem to fit my petite frame. The nice thing about cutting cropped flare jeans, you reduce the size of the flare, which is great if you’re into a more subtle flare (like me!). Honestly though, these jeans are ridiculously soft and comfortable. I wore them for a week straight last week. I have washed them since taking these photos and they shrunk a tad making the fit even better.

I’ve mentioned it before, the midi bootie is one of my favorite trends this season. The longer shaft allows you to wear them them with cropped flare, boyfriend, and high-waisted straight jeans. The Edit from Steve Madden are pretty close to perfection and at a great price point. They’re polished and sophisticated, but still on-trend. The shaft is the perfect length and I love the chunky heel. They run TTS and come in taupe, black, navy velvet, and burgundy.

What are some of you favorite fall trends so far?

I just came across your site and I absolutely love it! I’m starting a blog soon and researching a lot of them. I think you have a great balance between tips on fit for petites and a fashion blog. I’m petite, too, and was trying to navigate how I would balance the same thing. It’s refreshing to see that it doesn’t have to be a solely petite focused blog! I look forward to seeing your future posts!
