My style is always evolving. I look back at some of the first years of this blog and WOW. Not just the looks I wore, but I think back to the mentality. I was so much more strict with my style rules and didn’t really have fun with it. It was more like, okay one pair of nude pumps, check, one pair of black pumps, check, etc. and that’s it. You and I both know you can never have too many nude heels. They all work for different types of outfits or occasions. As most of us know, as we get older our style does too, which means it’s constantly evolving. Something I’m not opposed to.

Lately, I’ve noticed myself gravitating toward the idea of wearing more loafers, black pants, and blazers. All of which seem to be more fall/winter pieces, but they work for spring and summer as well (I just styled a blazer with loafers here). Well, not the black pants that much, but we have days where it’s overcast and cold still, so black pants work then. All three items seem to be a little more sophisticated and chic and elevate some of the most basic and simple outfits. I love a good tailored blazer paired with denim shorts or loafers with boyfriend jeans. I’ve been really digging the whole black cropped pants thing with flats and a simple stripe tee. Anytime you can put together a chic outfit with ease, you know you’re doing something right. And a lot of times, for me right now, it involves one or more of the three said items.

Have you noticed your style choices changing as you get older?
