Affordable Elevated Summer Wardrobe Staples
This week officially kicks off summer! Oregon has had the worst spring in years, so we haven’t had a ton of summer-like days. We’re really looking forward to sunshine and warm temps ahead. In honor of summer, I’m excited to share a big Nordstrom haul with you. Think summer wardrobe staples and all at really great price points. I found some really great pieces I’m excited to add to my summer rotation – these sunglasses are a great designer dupe, love how simple these sandals are, and this sweater is my latest favorite. Read on for the rest of my haul and thoughts.
Treasure & Bond High Neck Tank xs – These high-neck tanks are very on-trend this summer. This one from Treasure & Bond is a great affordable option. I’m wearing the black in xxs and the white in an xs and I would say the xs fits better, so these run TTS.
Halogen Square Neck Tank xs – I love a square neckline! This tank reminds me of a bodysuit. It’s thick and stretchy, so feels really good on the skin and sucks you in. It has a built-in bra too. If you want to wear bra with it the straps are bra-friendly. This can easily be dressed up or down.
Treasure & Bond Rib Tank small – I was initially drawn to this nude color. I sized up to a small thinking it would run tight, but it doesn’t. This runs TTS and I should have taken the xs. Super lightweight and great for summer. Love the ribbed details too.
Sea Level One-Piece Swimsuit US4 – I love this suit, just need to size up for my boobs. Really adore the square-neckline, it elevates a simple black one-piece. It has underwire and lots of support, but if you’re bigger chested I would size up. Bottom isn’t too cheeky either.
BP. Tank xs – This is such a cute, lightweight tank for summer. I ordered both the xs and xxs and the xxs fits best in the straps. The tank seems super small out of the box, but when you put it on it’s perfect. Very lightweight, so great for warm weather.
Caslon Shirt xs – This is a cute white blouse/shirt. Simple with small details to make it fun for summer. I would recommend sizing down. I’m in the xs and the xxs would fit a lot better with it still having an oversized fit.
Treasure & Bond Linen Blend Sweater xs – White, linen, lightweight sweaters are always a hit this time of year. I have a few I LOVE from another brand, but it’s no longer available. This one has a very similar vibe. It’s lightweight and breathable and one of those layers you can throw on top of anything. I’m in the xs and it runs big, so I would say size down.
Nordstrom Collard Stripe Sweater xs – LOVE this sweater! I ordered both the xs and small and the xs (seen here), fits best. It still has a comfortable oversized fit which is a must for me when it comes to sweaters. I love a collar and this one can be worn up or down. The collar and color gives it that nautical vibe which is perfect for summer.
Nordstrom Popover Blouse xxs – I don’t normally gravitate toward “silky” blouses, but thought I’d share this top for those who are headed into the office. The fit is fantastic, just make sure you size down.
Free People Linen Shorts 0 – These shorts! They’re SO GOOD, but a bit big even in the smallest size. You can see, I’m wearing them with a belt here which totally works. I’m debating whether or not I’m keeping them. I think with a wash and dry + a belt, they could totally work, but nervous to wash them if they don’t work and can’t return. They’re the perfect long length and just so elevated and chic.
Nordstrom Linen Shirt xs – This linen shirts run fairly stiff, I wish the collar was a little looser for a more casual vibe. With that said, with wear, it may end up loosening up. This shirt runs oversized, which I don’t mind, but it does run long. It can double has a beach coverup, which could be a good or bad thing depending on what you’re looking. Because I like my shirts to be oversized, I wouldn’t size down in this one.
Treasure & Bond Gingham Dress xs – I’m a sucker for a gingham dress and this done does not disappoint. It has that gauze-like fee and it’s super flatting. I should also mention, it has pockets! It’s maxi length on me, but with a wash and dry I think it would shorten just a tad. This is SO GOOD for summer!
Nordstrom Shirtdress xxs – I totally thought this was a cotton shirtdress, but it has that more “silky’ vibe. This isn’t something I would wear per se, but the fit is great and it’s petite-friendly.
Halogen Cap Sleeve Wrap Dress xs – This is a great dress for the office. It is a little heavier, so just keep that in mind. The xs also runs big, so I would say size down.
Haviana Sandals 5/6 – I can’t believe I’m back in Havianas. But, I love the simple look, especially paired with more “smart” outfits. They’re super comfortable, which is an added plus. I will be living in these!
BP. Thong Sandal 5 – This style is something I told myself I would never be caught wearing, lol. But, I have to say, I love the way they dressed up a look, but still have that very simple vibe. If you’re looking to try this trend, these are a great option at such an affordable price. I got the 5 and 5.5 and the 5 fit perfectly, so they run TTS.
Open Edit Linen Shorts xs – I’ve always loved the long tailored short look, but never really could pull it off. I have to say, I love these! Longer than my normal long shorts, but the legs are slimming, which is a must! The white is semi sheer, but it comes in a handful of other colors. I really love the fit on these.
BP. Cat Eye Sunglasses – The BEST dupes! These are a designer dupe and I’m obsessed! I can’t recommend these enough and for only $15! Great for small faces, too! These are the sunglasses I’m wearing in all these photos.
Special thank you to Nordstrom for partnering on this post.
