Embracing Spring in White Denim

Happy Tuesday, friends! It’s been a minute. We took an unexpected trip to California to attend funeral services for a family member. It’s been a whirlwind couple of weeks to say the least. But, I’m happy to be back on the blog and sharing some new projects with you. We’ve had some incredible weather since we’ve been back and it’s been a mood changer for sure. Although we’ve been welcomed with all the sunshine and blooming trees and plants, my allergies have been crazy. I’m hoping the sneezing, congestion, and itchy eyes subside soon… the only downside of welcoming warm weather, right?

I recently wrote a post about my love for white sneakers this season, but I’m also loving white denim! I’ve probably worn white jeans more this year than my entire life put together, lol. I never thought I could pull them off because of my short legs. But, with a few styling tricks and the right pair, white denim can work for everyone. They’re so fresh and bring a brightness to any outfit. They’re also a nice alternative to blue jeans – which I tend to wear a ton in the spring. I picked up this pair from Walmart and I love the looser, straight fit. They’re soft, stretchy, and not see through. They’re more of a thicker white denim, so not sheer at all, but still soft and comfortable. I’ve actually noticed straight leg or cropped flare white jeans fit me best, rather than a skinny jean. And as mentioned before, always choose a higher waist.

I’ve also been wearing these sandals a ton. They run a ½ to a full size small, so be sure to size up. They’re comfortable and come in an assortment of colors (love the black and white colorways). I should also mention, they’re under $30!

This entire outfit is actually from Walmart’s new spring fashion collections. I’m loving all their romantic topsbold stripes, and utility chic pieces. Be sure to check out their We Dress America campaign for more really cute and affordable spring pieces!
