Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Mike and I are back from Santa Barbara and reunited with the pups, although still in California at Mike’s parent’s house. Between the driving and a 3 day wedding weekend, we’re exhausted and missing our bed right about now. While we’re anticipating our drive home, we’ve loved visiting with family while we’ve been here and seeing friends because I don’t think we’ll be back this way until next year. We’re going to spend our first holidays in the PNW and we’re super excited.

Speaking of the PNW, fall has arrived and I’ve already stocked up on some of my favorite fall accessories. This is an area you don’t tend to explore as much when you live in California. Yes, you have your hats and scarves because they’re cute, but in Oregon they’re a necessity! This is cold I’ve never experienced before and it’s only October (I’m in for a real treat come winter). Scarves have always been a must-have in the fall and winter for me, but I can appreciate them so much more now. I had struggled with finding the perfect neutral cashmere scarf for years (they’re either not the right color or material), but I’m so excited because Nordstrom has one that comes in 7 different colors and is just under $100. When I spotted this one a couple weeks ago, I jumped on it immediately. While it’s more long and narrow (and not a blanket scarf),  it’s incredibly soft and super warm. This is an absolute must-have in my opinion (still debating, go read the reviews).

As you know from my obsession in the summer, hats are one of my favorite accessories in the fall (or all year round). This one from Brixton has quite the wide brim, but I love the shape. I also struggle with finding hats that fit, but the xs works perfectly. For those of you with small heads, I’ve found Brixton xs to work nearly every time. Gloves are not something I’ve ever needed until our move. Although there’s tech gloves, which allow you to use your gadgets with gloves on, I struggle with having my fingertips covered, so I’m loving these fingerless pair from Halogen. You don’t know you need gloves until you have them. So, so warm. Lastly, I’ve been gravitating toward crossbody bags a lot lately. Usually, I reserve them for summer, but I love how easy they are to wear, especially with all the fall layers. Crossbody bags also make sense during this time of year because I’ll most likely be holding a coffee or umbrella, so to go hands-free is really nice. I will share more on this Rebecca Minkoff feed bag, but for now let’s just say, I’m obsessed.

What fall accessories do you tend to lean on the most?
