Latest Athleisure Finds

Back in January I shared some of my favorite athleisure finds and I’m so excited to be back with a new haul for you. Nordstrom has become my go-to to pickup activewear and athleisure pieces – they have some of my favorite brands – Zella, alo, Vuori, and Nike and I also love finding new-to-me brands, like Varley and On. I’m breaking down each piece below and if you’re interested in seeing my try-on, they will be live in Stories today (5/27).

I’ve been meaning to try out GIRLFRIEND COLLECTIVE leggings for awhile. I don’t know why I never took the plunge. Oftentimes when I haven’t tried a brand and don’t know sizing, I hesitate. Anyone else do this? Anyway, I’m so glad I ordered them because the fit is exceptional. I went with my normal size and would say they run TTS. They’re slightly snug around the thighs as you pull up the waist band, but once they’re on, the fit is great. These suck you in in all the right places, but are still thin and comfortable. I absolutely love that the length is perfect on my frame (I’m 5ft), too. These come in many colors, but if you’re looking for a neutral pair, these are great.

Varley is new-to-me, but from what I’ve tried, I love the brand! This Margate sweatshirt is amazing. It has a tech material, which is great for being active – it’s cozy without being too hot. I also really LOVE the color, it pairs so well with white and other brown/tan neutrals and is great for this time of year. It does run oversized, in fact all the sweatshirts I tried from Varley run oversized. I do love the fit of this one, plus I think once I wash and dry it, it will shrink a tad.

Varley Sweatshirt xs – Absolutely LOVE the color of this one! I also love the oversized fit and tech fabric. I can wear this to run errands, for those brisk morning walks, or for those chilly mornings.

GIRLFRIEND COLLECTIVE Leggings xs – The xs runs TTS. These are high rise with a thick band at the waist. They hit at the PERFECT length on my petite frame. This color is also a great neutral (neutral leggings aren’t easy to find).

BP Shorts xs –  I raved about these shorts in another post (I had the charcoal and grey). I’m very into white shorts right now and these are casual and comfortable. They’re high rise and have a bit of a dolphin (higher on the sides) effect. They’re a bit see through, so just keep that in mind. Love the pockets!

Vuori Sweatshirt xs – Simple sweatshirt, yes! But so luxe and amazing. The fit alone had me (roomy, slightly oversized), but the sweatshirt is well made and SO SOFT. I love the cinched waist with ties, too. The color is more of an off-white with a hint of blush, it’s really stunning! I don’t need another sweatshirt, but this one is hard to resist. One of the best sweatshirts I’ve found and that’s saying a lot (I own a lot).

Year of Ours Sleep Shorts small – Didn’t know what to expect with these, but they’re amazing. I think they’re sold out in plain black, sadly. They’re sleep biker shorts, so think pj’s and really soft. These are so great to sleep in and just be in around the house. Love the ribbed detail.

Varley Pullover xs – This is another fun sweatshirt from the same brand. Again, it runs oversized, but it has a great tech material so it drapes really nicely. The cinched ties don’t really cinch, I think they’re there for looks. This looks white on the website, but it’s more of a marled grey in-person. I think this might look better one someone taller, but that’s just me. Great quality, though!

Madewell Biker Shorts small – As a petite (5ft), I’m always looking for biker shorts that have a mx inseam of 5”. These are perfect for petites with a 4.5” inseam. They’re comfortable, not overly tight, but still suck you in. I haven’t worn these for a long period of time, but from what I can tell, these are the best biker shorts I’ve been able to find (especially comfort-wise).

Varley Sweatshirt xs – Here’s another Varley sweatshirt. This one is the biggest of them all. It’s so cozy and comfortable, though. I love a funnel neck and the soft textured material. If this was a tad smaller, I would keep it. The color is also more purple/pink in-person.

Vuori Joggers xs – I’m sure you either have these or heard about them. The best performance joggers on the market! These are incredible and the length is petite-friendly! They’re in-between a high and mid rise, but as someone who loves high rise, I don’t have an issue with them. They’re super soft and move with you. You can wear them to workout in, lounge around in, or wear to run errands. If you’re in the market for joggers, these are a MUST!
