Life Update + Coat Roundup

Hi! It’s been a minute. I hope you had an amazing Christmas. If you follow me on Instagram, you saw that we welcomed baby boy at the end of November. We’ve been soaking in all the newborn bliss and adjusting as a family of 4. I’ll do more of a formal introduction of Camden in another post, but just thought I’d update you on life as of late.

Bernardo Longline Coat xs (new version), Zella Leggings xs, Cole Haan boots 5.5 (sold out, similar), Quay sunglasses, Similar sweater, Bugaboo Lynx Stroller, Bugaboo Lynx Bassinet

It’s been a whirlwind month – we had my parents in town for Thanksgiving/my birthday and then 2 days after that, I started having contractions and Camden entered the world 2 days before our planned c-section date. We introduced baby boy to Harper and it was the most special moment (here’s the video). The last few weeks have been spent healing and juggling life as parents of two. I will say, it’s been a lot smoother than I could have ever imagined. Having the experience from the first go around makes all the difference in the world. We are so in love with our little guy – he’s already gotten so big after a month of being home.

Harper is doing exceptionally well. She loves her little brother so much, is so helpful, and has shown such growth since he’s been home. I’m so incredibly proud of her. We have Harper’s birthday in January and this will be the first year we throw her a birthday party (at least that’s the plan for now). She understands the whole birthday thing now, so I’m super excited for her. We also have both sides of our family visiting in January to meet Camden. Typically, January kicks off our slower season, but with so much going on this year, it’s almost an extension of the holidays.

Okay, so there’s a little life update. Blog posts will be slower for a minute, but I promise to introduce you to Camden, talk about my newborn essentials/products we’re loving, and share more about Cam’s birth story sooner than later.

I also want to share a roundup of amazing fall/winter coats. As you can see, it’s perfect timing because we just go so much snow. We don’t typically get snow, so it’s always a nice surprise. I’m wearing my Bernardo longline coat from a couple years ago, but Nordstrom carries the new version. I absolutely love this coat – it’s warm, fits my petite frame well, and flattering. It is more fitted, so just keep that in mind. Nordstrom’s selection of coats right now is killer and many of them are on sale. I’ve shared this Bernardo coat a few times, but if you’re in the market for an everyday puffer, I can’t recommend this one more. I sized up to a small so I can layer (Bernardo tends to run more fitted). Be sure to check out all my favorite picks below.

Special thank you to Nordstrom for partnering on this post.
