Mike and I are really bad at taking photos together. I’ll take one of him and Lola or vice versa, but we have a hard time asking people to take one of us together. Weird coming from a blogger who has photos of herself splashed all over her blog, I know. So, when the opportunity came up to have our photos taken together as a family (for the first time ever), I kinda squealed.
For the shoot, I wanted it to be very us and casual. Picnicking in the park is one of our favorites things to do and something we miss the most about living in San Francisco. Being able to lay around at a park without people staring at you or thinking you’re homeless has got to be one of the best parts about living in a city. The views, the people, the ease of it all. I just love it. There are so many beautiful parks in San Francisco (Lafayette, Fort Mason, Alta Plaza, Alamo Square, Dolores to name a few), but we decided to shoot at the Palace of Fine Arts for obvious reasons. It’s picturesque and beautiful, yet still casual and very us.
I could not be more in love with how these turned out. Christine really captured who we are together (which is mostly Mike making me laugh) and as cheesy as it may sound, I’m so grateful to finally have photos of our mini family. A huge thank you to Christine!
