Summer Essential: Coverups

I’ve been getting summer ready as much as possible recently. It’s a big change from our summer’s in Oregon. The fact that we have a backyard is already such a big difference, let alone the weather. We’re almost done ordering all our outdoor furniture, I just ordered a handful of bathing suits, and I’m excited to share my roundup of coverups with you today.

Coverups have always been the last item on my list to invest in or buy. Living in Oregon for the last 5 years, swimwear and coverups weren’t really on my radar for most of the year (as you would imagine). With temps already reaching the high 90’s in LA this week, I can only really think of bikinis and coverups, ha. You can find me in Harper’s kiddie pool all summer and I’m not mad about it one bit. Nordstrom has a great selection of coverups at different price points. I picked up this one from Elan. I’m more of a white button down that doubles as a cover up kinda girl, but this one stood out to me. I love the neutral color and I thought the romper style was really cute. It’s lightweight, roomy, and super comfortable. I also picked up the Pacifica tunic from L Space. I’ve seen several people wear this and I finally pulled the trigger. I was unsure about this style buttoned up, but I love it when it’s unbuttoned. It’s the perfect length, it drapes beautifully, and I love the breathable fabric. The cinched waist gives it a flouncy fit when all hat is fun and flirty. I also found a few options from Billabong that are super affordable and cute. 

We may not have a big pool, but you can find me in a bathing suit/coverup lounging around our backyard in Harper’s pool or splash pad all summer long.
