As fall approaches, I can’t help but start to think of ways to transition some of my summer pieces to fall. Two of the easiest ways to do this is with tones and texture. Denim is great year round, but for some reason for me, it’s synonymous with fall. If you’re looking to transition any of your summer pieces, like white embroidered or off-the-shoulder tops, pair them with denim and neutral tones. Suede is also a great way to take your look from summer to fall. Think suede skirts, dresses, and booties. Most of time you can get away with mixing in one or the other (denim or suede), but with this look I combined the two. The skirt doesn’t need any help transitioning to fall (the texture and color already scream autumn tones), but to really embrace the upcoming season, I paired it with this denim tee. I love the 2 textures together. It also helps that I had a clutch to tie it all together.

Stay tuned for more transitional looks later this month.
