Wardrobe Updates: Workout Wear + Athleisure Favorites

This time of year I really embrace my love of athleisure. Not necessarily because I’m working out more (although I know it’s a popular New Year’s Resolution for some), but because we’re at a point in the year in Oregon where you’re tired of the dark days, rain, and cold. There’s little to no motivation to get dressed, a very uninspiring style season if you will. Thank goodness athleisure style is still going strong because I could wear a variation of this everyday, lol. I found a few new athleisure and workout wear pieces worth sharing from Nordstrom. If you’re in the market for good, quality, yet affordable athleisure pieces, Nordstrom is always my go-to!

I recently shared this puffer jacket in beige, but I absolutely love the black! The diamond pattern and shine detail really make this piece stand out. I did size up to a small since it runs a bit snug. It’s puffy and oversized, but I love the look. I also rolled the sleeves, since they run long. I realize you can’t see my sweatshirt, but it’s actually one of my favorite sweatshirts. It’s thick, but stretchy so super comfortable! It also doesn’t attract all the lint like a lot of black pieces do. I have size small, so I would recommend sizing up. And then you know about my love for Zella leggings. I’m wearing the Studio Lite leggings in an xs. I absolutely love these – they’re thinner, a great length, and have pockets. The price on these can’t be beat either! Aside from athleisure, I also gravitate toward all things sherpa in the winter. I couldn’t pass up these super cute Rag & Bone sneakers. They’re perfect athleisure shoes – comfortable, but still elevated, and you can run after your kids in them. I sized up to a 6 and they’re perfect! They’re super comfortable right out of the box too.

Other Athletic/Athleisure Favorites

ON Cloud Training Shoes 5.5 – I’ve seen so many people start wearing ths On Cloud brand and since I was in the market for training shoes, I thought I’d give them a try. I absolutely love the black and white color combination. They’re lightweight with lots of room in the footbed. They’re super comfortable right out of the box, which is always huge when you’re looking for great workout shoes.

Vuori Pocket Performance Joggers xs – I’m sure you either have these or heard about them. The best performance joggers on the market! These are incredible and the length is petite-friendly! They’re in-between a high and mid rise, but as someone who loves high rise, I don’t have an issue with them. They’re super soft and move with you. You can wear them to workout in, lounge around in, or wear to run errands. If you’re in the market for joggers, these are a MUST!

React Infinity Run Flyknit Running Shoe 6 – These running shoes are a lot more fitted than the adidas UltraBoost 20’s, almost like second skin. I love the low ankle profile on these and how lightweight they are. They’ve been comfortable right out of the box, which is always a big test for me. These come in a handful of colorways.

Zella Joggers xs – These are a fan favorite! Similar to the Vuori joggers, but higher waisted and more affordable. They’re super comfortable, can be worn to workout, but also look great to run errands.

Zella Sweatpant Joggers xs – These were a surprising find. Since there’s a cuff at the bottom, you can technically roll them up a little bit, so the inseam can work on a petite frame. They’re thick and super soft. Love that they’re high waisted too. They come in a ton of colors.

Special thank you to Nordstrom for partnering on this post.
