Weekend Recap 15
Happy Monday, friends! This weekend seemed like it flew by. I think all the rainy days just seemed to blend together. I honestly can’t believe it’s the middle of May and we still have winter-like weather. I’m either thinking our summer will be a scorcher or we won’t ever get one at all. Thankfully, after the next couple rainy days we have sun for the next 2 weeks. With that being said, one thing I’ve learned since living here, never ever trust a 2 week forecast. Things change daily and it’s incredibly frustrating! It does show temps in the 80’s next week, so let’s cross our fingers.

Friday we spent some time at the mall and then stopped by my favorite weekly spot, La Sen. Does anyone else have a favorite restaurant you love and could eat at every day? It drives Mike crazy. He’s like, can we try something new, lol. One of my biggest pet peeves, trying a new restaurant when you’re really hungry only to be let down. Tell me you guys are like this? Or am I the only one? We ended the night watching Lion. Have you seen it? We thought it was really good. Way better than Moonlight. If you haven’t seen it, we would definitely recommend it.
We planned to go to the coast (for the first time) on Saturday, but decided not to because of the rain. It’s already pretty cold near the coast, so we figured it might be best to go later this week (or next) when we actually have some sun. We opted for breakfast and errands instead – stopped by Blue Star Donuts, ate breakfast at Besaws, and then made a Home Depot trip. Adulting, if you will. We ended the night watching The Last 100 Days of Diana. We didn’t finish, but I always get sucked into these. It’s all still so fascinating. Talk about a gorgeous woman!
We kicked off Sunday with Mother’s Day breakfast at Five Spice in Lake Oswego. We always feel super grateful to have my aunt and her husband’s family here. We get together for every holiday and it really makes us feel at home. When moving to a new state/city, family makes a huge difference. We also watched game 1 of the Spurs vs. Warrior series. I’m hoping for a good series with the Warriors pulling it out. Love watching good basketball and hate all the blowouts we’ve been seeing. Anyone else watching? The rest of the day was spent catching up on work and lounging around with the dogs (my fav). Overall, it was a good restful weekend. Now we’re ready for a busy week ahead and some good ole sunshine.
How was your weekend?
