Weekend Recap 31
Happy Monday, friends! How was your weekend? As mentioned last week, I’m officially in my 3rd trimester and it appears I’ve ‘popped.’ All of a sudden I feel huge. My bump is out and there’s no way around it. And to think baby still needs to gain 4-5 pounds is crazy… It’s all starting to feel really real.

Friday was the last day of our dog training sessions. We’ve learned a lot, but we’re still not where we want to be in terms of better walking on the leash, less barking, and Riley’s aggression issues. We have the tools now to do it all, it’s just a matter of putting in the time and effort (which is A LOT). Mike and I were feeling a bit overwhelmed the other day and asked ourselves, what do other people do? When you start a family and you don’t have time to put the effort in to train your dogs, do you leave them at home a lot, so you don’t have any issues. Do they not go on walks? When it was just Lola we took her everywhere and while she barked and wasn’t perfect, she was somewhat trained and we could contain her. Riley is a different story and then put them together and it can get crazy. Our dogs are a huge part of our lives, so we don’t want to neglect them once baby comes, but if they can’t behave, it’s hard to have them tag along. I guess I’m just venting… we’ll figure it out once the time comes, but with everything else going on (work, baby, nursery, work schedule once baby gets here), I can’t help but feel a little stressed.
Since the bump is getting too big for my normal clothes, we stopped by the Gap on Saturday to pick up some tees. I had ordered a couple maternity tees online and while I kept them and have been wearing them, they’re a bit long and tight. I thought I would stop into the store and get regular tees and just go up a size, so I didn’t have the issue with the extra length. I ended up getting a handful of their vintage wash crew neck tees in both xs and small (small for when I get a little bigger). I’ve been prepping my closet for fall and since my bump is playing a major role this year, I’ve been pretty strategic with my purchases. Looser things have made me look really huge, so I’m sticking to coats, jackets, and cardigans paired with tighter tees and tops. That way there’s some curves, but I can also just wear my normal layering pieces. I can’t wait to show you guys what I’ve been ordering for the cooler weather!
Since my closet sale went to so well (if you haven’t checked it out yet, you should because there’s still some great things!), I decided to sell even more! For someone like me who likes to get rid of clutter, selling gently used items that just sit in your closet is like therapy. It’s one of the of the best feelings. Which is why I want to sell even more. Stay tuned, I will upload more items in the coming week.
