Weekend Recap 32
Happy Monday, friends! How was your weekend? Other than a couple meltdowns (more on that later), we had a pretty nice and relaxing, yet productive couple of days. We made it out for date night Saturday night, which is always a win for us considering I find it so hard to get out of the house at night. Lately, I’m fairly exhausted by 5:00pm, so to get dressed and look presentable isn’t always the easiest, lol. We ran a bunch of errands Saturday day and then stopped my a couple open houses. We’re just dipping our toes into looking to buy a house. I’m crossing my fingers we can get more serious in the new year. I know getting a mortgage as a small business owner can be tough, so we’ll see how this goes.

A couple meltdowns to share with you. First, Mike updated my phone on Thursday without me knowing, really. I didn’t back it up, I didn’t even realize he was doing it. Once it was done and I got my phone back I realized there was no longer the Fade filter in iPhoto. This is huge considering that’s how I edit all my Instagram photos. We started scrambling. I was thinking about restoring it to my last backup, but again, we hadn’t backed up with the latest content (photos, etc.). Pretty stressed, I started researching different filters and became consumed. I did find a tutorial online that shows you how to achieve the iPhone fade filter in VSCO cam. It’s not perfect or exact, but it works. I’ve played with those settings and sort of customized it to make it fit my aesthetic. This is what I’ll be using moving forward, but seriously, I’m so annoyed. It took me several years to figure out my Instagram feed, when I finally felt like I was in a groove, this happens. First world problems for sure, but damn!
On that same note, Mike did some research on the latest IOS update and apparently it’s a beta update. Meaning there could be a ton glitches and we should have backed up. I don’t know if it’s the new update or what, but I can’t get my swipe up link to work on my Instagram Stories. I deleted the app and restarted my phone and nothing worked. I did a hard restart and it came back for a hot minute then it was gone again. But with that hard restart, my photos were all gone. Another freakout moment. Could I have lost over 17,000 photos? Okay, that’s a lot of photos and I’m cleaning that up today (yikes!). Thankfully, it slowly restored. I have all my photos, but still the swipe up link does not work in Stories. Letting out a big sigh as I write this. Why?!!!! Cross your fingers this new update doesn’t cause any more meltdowns, lol.
I mentioned doing another closet sale last week. We didn’t get around to shooting everything until the end of the week, so it will go live this week. Sorry for the delay. It’s a good one with a ton of jeans, so be sure to check it out.
Alright, that’s enough complaining and whining. I have my glucose test on Tuesday, wish me luck!
