Happy 2017! How was your NYE? We kept things really low key by going to an early dinner at Departure and grabbing ice cream after. I’ve never been into doing anything crazy to ring in the new year, so let’s just say it was a much needed and appreciated date night. Since there was no stress to find the perfect dress or plan the perfect night, we were actually able to get a lot of rest last week. I’m feeling better than ever and excited to take on the new year.

To help kick off 2017, I thought it would be nice to fill you in on what you can expect going forward here on the blog. We’re in the process of giving this space a facelift. It seems like it’s a yearly thing, but I almost think it’s necessary because so much changes in a year. I want this space to evolve just as my brand evolves. We’re in the early stages, so I’m not sure when the new design will go live, but I will keep you posted. A email newsletter is also in the works. This has been a long time coming, so we’re really excited! Is a daily/weekly newsletter with exclusive content something you would be interested in?

Another huge goal for 2017, travel. I’m the biggest homebody and the fact that we work from home doesn’t help. But, I think I need to push myself and get out of my comfort zone. We have a couple places in mind already, but even getting out and exploring everything Oregon has to offer is a step in the right direction. Not only will it make for great content, but it will help the creative juices flow.

We’re also working on a fun project that’s still a bit of a secret. It’s something Mike brought up in the fall and while the idea has been tweaked a bit since then, the gist of it has remained the same. Basically, we want to share more with you. I think you’ll fully enjoy it and you’ll learn so much more about me. More details on this to come…

And of course the fashion. You’ll continue seeing my outfits, helpful tips, styling tricks, and budget-friendly finds. I’m hoping to make my at-home try on’s and dressing room diaries a more frequent thing. I’m making my fitness a priority, so there will be more on my road to finding my health. Mike and I just came up with a new work schedule for me, so I’ll share more on that and how I’m finding a little more balance. There’s so many helpful and fun posts coming, I can’t wait to share. My Portland city guide should go live this month!

If you have anything you want to see more of on the blog, I’d love to hear from you. Email me, [email protected], or leave me a comment below. I’m always open to hearing how to make this space a better experience for you. Cheers to 2017 and making it the best year yet!
