2014 was all about building a classic wardrobe. I got rid of a ton of stuff I didn’t wear and invested in more classic pieces that will stay with me forever. 2014 was the year I finally found my personal style and didn’t give two sh**ts about what other people were wearing, trends, or what other bloggers were wearing. I did me and I’m pretty proud of that. I definitely had some misses, wore the same thing A LOT, and bought one too many pairs of jeans. I’ve learned basics and simple silhouettes always win, it’s okay to wear the same piece on your blog different ways (or the same way), and nude shoes are my best friend. While I’m happy I was comfortable and did my own thing this past year, I still believe I can fine tune my style and explore more than just denim. In 2015 I hope to get out of my comfort zone and venture out into skirts, dresses, and trousers, all while staying true to who I am. I’m pretty sure ya’ll need some more inspiration besides ripped jeans and pumps, right? Stay tuned for a post all about this in the next couple of weeks.
I may be saying farewell to the outfits of 2014, but I most definitely will be bringing the individual pieces with me into the new year. Which outfits were your favorite?
