Target recently challenged me to pick one feature about myself I love for their series Flaunt it Friday. While I go through phases of wishing I had longer legs or was a couple inches taller (we all have something, right?), I try to stay positive and focus on what I do have. Not to be completely self-absorbed, but when the hair is on point, I do love it! I think it’s mostly because I don’t have to do too much with it. I rarely use product and the color is natural. I got my dad’s dark hair genes, but was lucky enough to also get some auburn and brown tones from my mom’s side. Thanks to outfit photos, I recently discovered wearing dark colors really help the lightness in my hair pop (now noted). Sometimes I think I was gifted with pretty-no-fuss hair to make up for my short and athletic legs ;)

Rather than always focusing on what you don’t have, I encourage you to focus on the positives and build your wardrobe or makeup routines around it. You’ll not only look better and feel better, but you’ll start to love yourself and not compare so much.
