Latest Finds From Nordstrom

We haven’t reached consist warm temps in Oregon yet, but we’re very close! I’ve been slowly but surely building out my summer wardrobe and there’s something about sticking to the classics. Spring and summer have always been really hard for me to dress for. I would end up wearing the same things over and over again and just felt really bored with it all. One of the things I noticed that has helped, sticking to black and white, but introducing new silhouettes and fabrics. This has helped keep my wardrobe streamlined, but still versatile, and fun. I recently picked up a few things from Nordstrom with all this in mind and I’m sharing them below.

& Other Stories Sweater xs, Reformation tank medium
AGOLDE Riley jeans 23, Loewe Tote, Hermes Sandals, Quay Sunglasses

Going back to what I said above, sticking to black and white but introducing new silhouettes and fabrics – take this sweater tank for instance. It’s so simple, but it wasn’t something I had in my closet. And I absolutely love it! It’s super flattering and comfortable, and it can be dressed up or down. Any comfortable item that can be dressed up is a win for me.

Nordstrom is always a go-to when it comes to classics for me. They also do a great job in having affordable options that are still elevated. Check out more of what I snagged below.

Caslon Gauze Dress xs – This is such a great summer piece! It’s sheer, so you’ll definitely need to wear a slip underneath. I use this one. It’s that really comfy gauze material, has pockets, and fits petites really well (even the length). I love it as a coverup, too!

Nordstrom Signature Smocked Dress xxs – This dress is so flattering! The xxs is a bit roomy, so I would say size down for sure! It’s semi sheer, so you’d need to wear a slip under this dress as well. It hits me right at the ankle, but I think with a wash a dry, it would come up just a bit more to make it a little more comfortable to walk in. Love that it has pockets!

Nordstrom Signature V-Neck Linen Dress xxs – This dress doesn’t seem like much on the model, but I absolutely love it on! It’s linen and so comfy. It’s incredibly flattering and doesn’t swallow you up. The straps are bra-friendly and the length is actually midi on my 5ft frame. If you’re looking for a simple summer dress, this one is a great option! You can dress it up or down.

Something Navy White Button Down xs – I can’t get enough white button downs and this one is close to perfection! I’m wearing the xs and it runs super oversized, so the xxs would have been the better fit. But, the material is spot on! With button downs I’m very picky with the fabric. It can’t be too thin and flimsy. This one is stiff enough to keep it’s shape, but it’s not heavy.

AGOLDE Dee Shorts 25 (went up 1 size. Color is Divise) – If you go check my Stories Highlights titled Denim Shorts, you know I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect longer style denim shorts. I’ve realized that for petites, in order for the style not to overwhelm, it’s better have a slimmer leg opening. I’ve ordered quite a few pair and so far the AGOLDE “Dee” style have been the best. They do have slits at the end of the seem on the sides, which I can’t decide if I like or not. These shorts also run small, so definitely size up. I’ve noticed with some washes I’ve had to size up 2 sizes.

Splendid Slide Sandals 6 – I got so many questions about my Aquatalia slide sandals and sadly they’re old, BUT, Splendid has a very similar option. I ordered them to report back to you on fit and quality. These are nearly identical, but less thick and bulky. They’re a very similar material and SUPER comfortable. If you’re sad my Aquatalia version are no longer available, I would highly recommend snagging these.

Frank & Eileen Shirt small – I originally bought this top thinking I could nurse in it (with the slit), but it’s not nursing-friendly in that sense. I’m actually wearing right now as a type and as with all my other tops, I just lift and nurse. BUT, back to the point. I love this top. I sized up to a small to have an oversized fit and it’s comfy and really elevates a basic tee.

Frank & Eileen Pants xs – These pants match the Frank & Eileen tee above, so you’re able to wear it as a set. These are supposed to be cropped, but they hit me right at the ankle. The smallest size also runs big in the waist, even with a drawstring. I have the waist rolled in this photo. These aren’t super soft and they don’t have pockets, which is a bummer because I’m always down for a pair of white sweats/pants.

Reformation Knit Tank medium (need the small) – This top is a dream! I can’t say enough good things about it. It’s sweater material but thick, so it sits really nicely and is super flattering. I thought it would run small so I sized up to medium, but I need the small. The square neckline is so pretty and elevated. The straps are bra-friendly, which is a huge plus. Ugh, I just love this tank so much!

AGOLDE Riley Jeans 23 – These have been my go-to jeans for the last month. I can’t stop wearing them. The wash is PERFECTION! The perfect vintage color. After a wash and dry they hit me at the the perfect spot at the ankle (no hemming). They don’t have any stretch, but I found them to run big, so size down.

AGOLDE Dee Shorts 25 – Here’s another pair of AGOLDE Dee shorts. Again, I really love the longer length. They’re really comfortable and very flattering. Just make sure you go up a size.

Special thank you to Nordstrom for partnering on this post.
