My Go-To Fall Boots

You loved my latest post on my 5 Must-Have Fall Shoe Styles, so I decided to write a post on my 6 go-to fall boots. These are all boots I own, and have tried, and loved. These are the boots that will get me through both the fall and winter seasons. I think with boots, there’s a lot out there, both style and function wise, so it can be overwhelming. As always, the type of boots you should get all depends on your wardrobe, style, and the climate you live in – these things should all be considered as your build your boot collection. After living in the PNW for over 5 years, I’m excited to share 6 go-to fall boots that I’m excited to wear this year.

Over the years I’ve really leaned on Nordstrom for my boot collection. They always have a great mix of classic and fun, on-trend styles. I’m sharing my thoughts on all 6 boots below. Be sure to check out all of Nordstrom’s latest boots here. And as always, Nordstrom has 2-business day shipping for only $12!

Ugg Classic Mini II Boots 5 – I’ve been getting questions about these lately and yes, I would 100% recommend. I wasn’t really an Ugg person, or so I thought, but after wearing these last year, I think these are a winter essential. They’re so easy to throw on for walks, errands, or play time outside. The super low shaft is great for petites, too! I took my normal size, but could easily size up a half size. They’re warm, comfy, and again just so easy to wear.

Marc Fisher Izzie Boot 5.5 – The Izzie boots have been super popular the last 3 or so years. I finally decided to try them and they’re stunning. The black leather color way looks and feels a lot more elevated than I thought! These do run a little stiff and will need some breaking in . I sized up a half size to wear thick socks with them. These are waterproof and the lug sole really adds traction and some height. I would wear these under my jeans since the shaft is so tall.

Vagabond Shoemakers Boot 6 – These are hands down my favorite purchase from the sale. I always looks for the perfect black bootie in the fall and winter and I can officially say, I found them. And they’re at such a good price. These are the perfect bootie to wear with straight leg jeans as the shaft is snug and high. I would typically stay away from wearing a higher shaft with skinny jeans or leggings, but these will work with black leggings to skinny jeans. The shaft is snug so it will help keep you pants tucked, too. These have a more everyday vibe versus the Frame boots, if that makes sense. They can handle wear and tear better. The 6 fit me well and they’re comfortable.

Sorel Out N’ About III Waterproof Boot 5.5 – I snagged these the second I saw them. I love a good winter boot and these are so fantastic because they’re a sneaker/boot hybrid. They’re super comfortable and lightweight, but warm and waterproof. I sized up to a 5.5 to wear with thicker socks. I love a good cognac shoe and these don’t diappoint.

Sam Edelman Laguna Chelsea Boots 5.5 – My new favorite lug/Chelsea boot! I wasn’t sure I could jump on the chunky sole boot trend, but these are actually flattering. The fitted shaft really helps to elongate your legs and helps balance out the thick sole. These come in an assortment of different colors. And, they’re water proof! I got the 6, but need the 5.5. If you’re looking for boots like these, look no further, these are it!

Cole Haan Grand Explore Waterproof Hiking Boots 5.5– These are my favorite all-weather boots. I wear these when it’s absolutely freezing outside and need warmth or I wear them to the snow. One of my favorite things about these boots, especially compared to its counterparts, they’re lightweight. Hiking/snow boots can be bulky and heavy and these are not. There’s also a small wedge on the inside of the boot, providing that extra height. The black is classic, but the shearling keeps them fun and interesting. These run TTS, but I like to always go up a half size in winter boots because I’ll wear thicker socks with them. There’s a new version of these here, but I do think there’s still some sizes left in this exact pair.

Special thank you to Nordstrom for partnering on this post.
