Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Public Access Try-On’s
To kick off Nordstrom Sale’s Public Access , I’m sharing my big try-on post today! This was only half of my order. Lots of pieces are still trickling in, so I’ll add to this post as the sale goes on. As always with this sale, if you’ve been eyeing something that has sold out, I would keep checking the site as pieces go in and out of stock all the time. You can see my video try-on’s of these pieces on my Instagram Stories today.
Vince Boots 35 – These boots are stunning! A polished, smooth leather that really makes these more dressy. The 35 fit comfortably and from first try-on, they’re super comfortable. The square toe is different for me, but it’s a nice change. The shaft is long enough to wear under straight leg denim, which is a must for me.
Sweaty Betty Pullover Jacket small – This jacket runs small, so sizing up to the small worked perfectly. Love the magnetic collar closure and draw string pull to cinch the waist. Really love the gray jacket.
Nike Sneakers 6 – I believe these are sold out, but in case sizes trickle in I thought I’d share my thoughts. These are a nice white/neutral sneaker. As with all my Nike sneakers, I size up to a 6. From first try-on they seem super comfortable.
Sweaty Betty Green Jacket small – This jacket runs more TTS, so I exchanged the small for an xs. Love a good set and these pair perfectly with the green leggings. A full zip with a large collar which I’m always a big fan of. Feels super nice on the skin.
Sweaty Betty Leggings xs – These 7/8 leggings hit right at my ankle and they’re super comfortable. I’m very picky with my leggings and these are great! Soft and suck you in and not overly stiff or small anywhere.
La Ligne Cardigan xs – Can never pass on a striped knit, right? This cardigan is so pretty. Love the navy and white against the cognac buttons. The cardigan is more stiff and snug, so I exchanged for a small.
Vince Cardigan xs – This cardigan is also stunning, I love the crochet detail. Another small cardigan. I exchanged the xs for a medium since I like more room in my sweaters. You can wear it as a cardigan or button it up and wear it as a pullover sweater.
Halogen Coat xxs – This is a heavy duty coat, weight wise, so great for winter. It’s definitely a full length coat for my 5ft frame, but I don’t mind it all, in fact, prefer it. Arms are lined, but the body of the coat isn’t. Sleeves are rolled once but nothing crazy. The arms actually run more narrow, which is a nice change for coats.
Reiss Coat xs – This coat is stunning! I think it’s sold out, but thought I’d share in case it comes back in-stock. It’s hard to tell if it’s navy or black, which is the only downside. I just wish it showed more navy. It 100% reminds of my Anine Bing Dylan coat – not lined, but moves and lays beautifully.
All Saints Leather Tote – This tote is the same style as the woven summer tote I got from All Saints last month. It’s much smaller, though. You can see it on me it’s still a good size if you’re petite. The 2 strap option is why I love this bag so much. It’s a game changer, especially when you’re a mom.
French Connection Sweater xs – White sweaters are hard to find for fall and winter, so when I find a good one, I always snag it. The xs fits really well. This is a tunic style without being overly long (slits on the side). The arms run short and narrow, which I happen to like. One of the few sweaters I don’t have to roll the sleeves on. Love the details and mock neck, too.
Nordstrom Sweater Small – I have been looking for a cream cable knit similar to my tan one for a while. I immediately snagged this when I saw it part of the sale. I did size up, but it runs super big. I reordered the xs and there’s still room, but the fit is much better. So, I would say this runs TTS. The cable knit detail is so pretty!
Re/Done Jeans 24 – These jeans are fantastic! I’m not usually big on “stretch” jeans but these are super comfortable and they’re the perfect straight leg style. I have them rolled here, so I would need to cut them, but if you’re looking for a full length straight leg, these are great. My normal size has a bit of room, but it makes them super comfortable.
North Face Green Coat xs – Wanted to make sure I tried on a green coat during the sale, since those seem to be your favorite. This one runs narrow, so size up! It’s lightweight, but still warm, so I think it could be great for layering.
North Face Black Coat xs – I had been eyeing this coat last winter, so when I saw it part of the sale, I snagged it immediately. I was initially drawn to the shorter length. Most North Face coats wouldn’t hit me at the knee. Initial thoughts, it runs very narrow. If you have broad shoulders or just like room in your coats to layer, I would size up. It’s also thin. While I think it’s still warm (I could just tell after wearing it for a while), I wish it was more substantial. Sadly, for PNW winters, I didn’t love this coat.
Rails Dress Small – I tried this dress on earlier this year and knew I needed to size up. I’m wearing a small and would say it fits closer to an xs. Love this dress, it can easily transition from summer to fall. Lightweight and bra-friendly.
Vagabond Boots 6 – I snagged these during last year’s NAS and can officially say, I found the perfect fall/winter black bootie. These pair so well with straight-leg jeans as the shaft is snug and high. The leather isn’t overly smooth or soft, so you can get a lot of wear out of these. I’ve even worn them in the rain and dirt and they’ve held up well.
