Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Public Access: Try-On’s

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale PUBLIC ACCESS is finally here! Anyone can shop the sale now, you don’t need a Nordstrom card. Popular items will get restocked, so be sure to check out the sale early. For those early access shoppers, I would check back on some of your favorite items that may have been sold out because they may be back in-stock today. I shared a handful of try-on’s in my Stories last week, but this post is full of all my try-on’s and thoughts from the pieces I ordered. There were A LOT of good pieces this year, so I hope you’re able to snag a few on your wishlist.

Ugg Karoline Fleece Robe xs- This was such an unexpected surprise! This was sent to be and wasn’t even on my radar, but it’s amazing. It actually fits pretty well on my petite frame, too. It’s so soft and cozy and can easily double as a cardigan to lounge around in. I will 1000% be using this during my 4th trimester in the winter. It’s perfect for breastfeeding!

Caslon Quilted Knit Jacket small- I like this jacket so much more in-person than online. It reminds me of my green Gap quilted jacket I got last year. I took the small wanting a more oversized fit, but it’s pretty big. I would need to exchange for the xs. It’s thick and warm without any lining. The sleeves run long, but since there’s no lining, you can easily cuff without it being noticeable.

Nike Free Metcon 4 Training Shoe 6 (went a full size up) – I picked up my Nike Air Max 260’s during last year’s sale and wore them all fall/winter/spring in Oregon. I saw these during the preview and knew I had to get them. I love a good pair of black Nike sneakers and these ones are chic and so comfortable. Keep in mind I always size upa full size at Nike. Their sneakers run small and narrow. I really love these – you can train in them, but also just use them as athleisure wear too.

Bernardo Puffer Jacket small – I get a Bernardo coat every NAS, mostly just to show you, because I already have like 10. These are my favorite puffer jackets of all time. They’re femine, flattering, and perfect for petites. This one might be my favorite of all the coats I own. I sized up to a small size this time not just because of the bump, but because I want to be able to layer. All my other coats from Bernardo are xs and they fit great, they’re just more snug and layering isn’t as easy.

Sam Edelman Water Repellent Puffer Jacket xxs – This is another fantastic coat for petites. Sam Edelman comes out with a longer version of this every winter, so when I saw the short version, I immediately snagged it. I knew it could be great for petites. I’m in the xxs and it fits perfectly with room to layer. It’s lightweight, but warm.

All Saints Leather jacket US6 – These leather jackets have been a part of the NAS the past couple of years. And they don’t disappoint. What I love so much about these, they’re relaxed. A lot of leather jackets are very stiff, the leather doesn’t move. This jacket has a very worn-in feel, which makes it so comfortable! It does run really small though. I’m in a US6 and I can easily layer, but I would even consider going up to a US8. The sleeves run long on my 5ft frame, but the zipper detail at the wrist allows you to tuck the extra fabric under. I can’t recommend this jacket enough!

1 State skirt small – I only gravitated toward this skirt because I’m pregnant. I usually don’t wear a ton of midi skirts, but this one is super affordable and stretchy. A great piece to go over the bump.

Zella joggers xs – You’ve seen me wear and review these in the past. These are fantastic joggers! Work on petite frames, soft, stretchy, and great quality. The price is great, too! These are more of a mid-rise. I know many of you prefer mid-rise, so these would be perfect for you.

Eileen Fisher Open Front Cardigan xxs – I absolutely love this cardigan! The material is a bit rough, so if you’re sensitive, this may be a pass for you. I love the fit and color – perfect for fall! Cardigans are hard to find for petites, but this one is GOOD!

Vince Wool Blend Cardigan xs –  This short cardigan is so soft and cozy! It’s a great length for petites, too. I’m wearing the xs, but it does run oversized, so could easily wear the xxs. Kind of just depends on how you want to wear it. The material is extremely soft and not itchy at all.

Nordstrom Mock neck xs – White sweaters are so hard to find in the fall/winter. This one is perfect! I love a funnel neck and this one isn’t too overwhelming but still stands up on it’s own. Material isn’t itchy and it’s on the longer side.

Frame sweatshirt small – Wanted to love this, but unfortunately on my frame right now, it doesn’t work. My boobs are huge from pregnancy and the extra shoulder detail and thick fabric don’t sit well and look extra bulky. The sweatshirt also runs narrow, and I’m really big on sweatshirts being roomy. Great quality, though

Frame sweatpants xs – I can’t get enough of these! Just the fact that they work on my frame is everything! I love the olive color, too! The waist runs really big, but for my growing bump, they work perfectly! The xs has lots of room in the waist, but there’s pull ties, so you shouldn’t have any issues. These are thick, great quality, and soft!

La Monteliana Hiking Boot 6 – Wow, these boots are amazing! Every boot I’ve tried like this has been uncomfortable or heavy. These are not heavy and so, so comfortable! Pricey, but if you’ve been on the hunt for a boot like this, snag these! The shearling interior is so cozy and keeps your feet super warm. And they’re actually flattering on the legs. Another hiking boot with a low shaft for us petite girls. Definitely go up a size, though.

Marc Fisher Hiking Boot 5.5 – These are very similar to the Marc Fisher Izzie boot that is very popular every winter. However, these don’t have a long shaft, which makes them perfect for petite/short legs. I was pleasantly surprised by these! They’re amazing – comfortable and not heavy. I went with a 5.5 so I have room for thick socks. Hiking/lug boots are very hard to wear as petites, but these work. These are in my top 10 NAS purchases!

Mark Fisher Lug boot 5.5 – Lug boots are very hard to wear for petites – very chunky, thick, with long shafts. All of which we tried to avoid. These are a little too chunky for me – I think an almond shaped toe would have been better. A very comfortable boot, though.

Bernardo Jacket xs – This jacket is a great throw on and run errands jacket. The xs does run a bit big. It’s very soft and cozy.

Avec Les Filles Jacket xxs – I can’t say enough good things about this puffer. It’s the famous Amazon coat, but in a shorter cut. It’s also softer, too! I looked all over for cream/nude puffers last winter and there really weren’t many options. This one is such a pretty color – if you can snag this in your size, jump on it fast. The xxs fits really well on me with room to layer.

Frame Boots 6 (need the 5) – These boots are absolutely stunning! The brand actually sent these to me in a size 6, which are way too big. I think the 5 would work, so I’d say these run TTS. The leather and construction are beautiful. They’re a classic black boot that you can wear under straight leg jeans and under maxi skirts/dresses. There’s no frills or extra details, which I love. These are so classic and timeless and worth the $$.

Frame Straight Leg Jeans 24 – These are fantastic straight leg jeans. I know many of you were looking for straight leg styles during the sale for fall and the wash on these are perfect. They’re also butter soft and so comfortable. These will pair so well with black booties. These run TTS. I had to cut the hems on these (as I do with all my jeans). It does come with a raw hem, so you’ll be getting the same look.

Sam Edelman Puffer jacket xxs – This coat is great for petites! The xxs is perfectly oversized without being overwhelming. You can easily layer a sweater under without it feeling too snug.

Nike Sneakers 6 (sized up a full size) – These Nike sneakers are super comfortable and the sole is quite thick, so provides a lot of support and height. Because these are white, I would probably stick to just wearing these with athleisure looks versus training. I love the leopard detail, the brown ties into a lot of my neutral pieces.

Calvin Klein Pumps 5 – I was so excited when I saw these slingback pumps. Denim blue pumps are very different for me, but they’re great for spring and summer. I can imagine pairing them so well with denim and white. The style is also very elevated and chic. Pumps are always tricky for me because most oftentimes the 5 is still too big.

Re/Done Jeans 25 – The only other pair of Re/Done jeans I had were pretty stiff. They do a lot of vintage styles, so the denim is stiff without stretch. These are butter soft, but still feel like quality, thick denim. These are like worn-in vintage jeans, if that makes sense. I always size up in Re/Done and would recommend it in this style. The wash is also the perfect light/medium blue. These are in my top 10 NAS purchases, so good!

Vegabond Boots 6 – These are hands down my favorite purchase from the sale. I always looks for the perfect black bootie in the fall and winter and I can officially say, I found them. And they’re at such a good price. These are the perfect bootie to wear with straight leg jeans as the shaft is snug and high. I would typically stay away from wearing a higher shaft with skinny jeans or leggings, but these will work with black leggings to skinny jeans. The shaft is snug so it will help keep you pants tucked, too. These have a more everyday vibe versus the Frame boots, if that makes sense. They can handle wear and tear better. The 6 fit me well and they’re comfortable.

Marc Fisher Mules 5 – Another pleasant surprise! These are way better in-person, btw. The shape is nearly identical to Jenni Kayne and I love the faux fur inside – perfect for fall and winter (in LA). These run TTS and are super comfortable.
