California Packing list

We’re officially in California! The weather isn’t as warm as we hoped (still grateful), but we’re soaking in all the sun. We’re in LA for a couple of days and then in Palm Springs until Thursday. Packing these days is a harder and easier at the same time. I share a suitcase with Harper, so I have to be very strategic when I pick my outfits. Everything needs to be cohesive and work together, so this takes a lot more effort. But, on the other hand, I know space is limited, so I know I can’t pack a bunch of things making life a littler easier. And to be honest, I care a little less about what I’m wearing now that I have Harper. I’m more worried about her outfits, lol.

I pretty much stuck to a white, nude, tan, black and denim color scheme (what’s new?). All of these colors work so well together and they just feel very Southern California to me. Picking outfits by color scheme and keeping everything cohesive is the best strategy when packing. You can mix and match outfits and if you end up not wearing an outfit you planned in advanced, you can improvise on the go. As a mom, I also try to bring a couple looks that I want to wear and a couple more looks that are practical and easy. It’s all about balance, right? There’s more pieces not included in this roundup, so stay tuned to see all my outfits on Stories or I’ll be sharing everything in a blog post once I get back.
