Mindful Beauty: Drugstore Edition Round 2

Remember my Mindful Beauty post from a few months back here? Well, I’m back for round 2! More and more clean beauty brands are popping up and I’ve loved being able to try them out in hopes to help you with your clean beauty shopping. I’m testing out a handful of new-to-me products and I’ve already found favorites I’m excited to share. Read on for all my thoughts.

I love that more and more retailers are carrying clean beauty – formulas you can feel good about. Walmart has a great selection under their Mindful Beauty section. They have a ton of different brands to choose from and a few exclusive brands to discover. I’m sharing all about the products I recently picked up below.

Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer in Deep Bronzer – A very unexpected favorite. A few of you DM’d me saying you LOVE this bronzer and have been using it for years and YOU’RE RIGHT. This bronzer is the best I’ve used! It has a strong coconut smell (which many of you like). I’m sensitive to smells and could do with it, but the bronzer is so good, I can live with it. The Deep Bronzer color is perfect and the consistency is nice and rich. This product has been a game changer for me.

Burt’s Bees Brow Pencil in Brunette  – This is one of my favorite Walmart finds! I am obsessed with this brow pencil. It looks light, but goes on darker. My eyebrows are dark, almost black, but I always get a dark brow pencil and this one is perfect! It goes on so smooth and nice. This is an absolute must in my opinion!

Burt’s Bees Defining Eyeliner in Onyx – Clean beauty eyeliners have been the hardest for me to find and like. I LOVE the consistency of this one, it has a gel-like feel! They only had black available at the time and I typically only wear brown. With that being said, I would 100% order the brown to try it out.

Burt’s Bees Multi-Benefit Mascara in black – I like to build my mascara, so I tend to use 2 different brands at a time. I like to coat my lashes with a mascara that defines and separates my lashes and then I go in and do a second coat with a more voluminous full body mascara. This one from Burt’s Bees is great for defining and separating (so the 1st one I use).

Burt’s Bees Lip & Cheek Stick in Neutral – I’ve been using this on my cheeks and it’s super dewy. The Neutral color is very natural looking and it’s not very buildable, so I’d be interested in getting the Blush Bay. I absolutely love the glow it gives and the way it goes on my cheeks.

EcoTools Start The Day Beautifully Kit Makeup Brush Set – I had been on a search for clean beauty makeup brushes and if I’m being honest, there’ not a huge selection on the internet. I’m so glad I found these. You’re getting an angled foundation, blurring, defined crease, angled linear and full blush set. The handles are bamboo and the brushes were made with recycled materials. This is a great set for less than $7. Update on this set – I’ve been using these brushes consistently and love them!

Physicians Formula Organic Wear Brow Shaping Gel, Clear – I’m a big brow gel girl and this one works great! It’s clear, but it really shapes and holds your brows in place. One of the tips I’ve learned from Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere was putting the brow gel on first and then filling my brows in with a pencil. Update on this one – Still very much love this and use it everyday!
