Phew, what a weekend! We made it home Sunday night and I finally got a full night’s sleep. In case you missed it, me, Mike, my aunt Nicole, and cousin Hannah flew down to the Bay Area for our baby shower. Despite the Northern California fires (absolutely devastating), the weather turned out amazing. A little wind, which was not ideal for all the balloons, but everything else went smoothly. A great turn out, good food, amazing desserts, and the decor turned out just as I had envisioned. Stay tuned for a full post with all the details.
Comfy travel outfit.
Korean food with the family is always a must when we visit.
Our first stop off the plane, Aqui for margaritas and chips and guac!
This Madewell coat fits so well. I’m wearing an xxs.
Little sneak peak of the baby shower decor.
We had an emergency dessert bar issue, but it all worked out in the end. So, so pretty!
Ended our trip with some shopping at Santana Row.
A must-stop while in California, Pressed Juicery Freeze. So good!
Pizza Antica before we flew home.
While the baby shower came together beautifully, all of us are/were super exhausted. The last 3 days just felt like go, go, go. A piece of advice (or 2), don’t plan your own baby shower and don’t do it from another state, lol. I know most people don’t plan their own baby showers, but that’s what happens when you have a type A personality and you’re just crazy. Lesson learned, though. I promised Mike I wouldn’t throw anymore parties like this… and I honestly mean it. I can’t ever enjoy myself, so what’s the point, you know? Enough of my complaining, it was so good to see all of our family and friends and to celebrate Baby D. I can’t believe she’ll be here in 11 weeks or so. Now that we’re home, we’re on official crack down mode on the nursery and everything else related to baby. It’s all starting to sink in…
We have a busy week ahead and I’m excited to get back to work. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and as always, thank you for reading and stopping by ♥
