I’m not too sure how many more gift guides I will get to this year, so I wanted to make sure I told you about the gifts I love to give. Unless I know exactly what someone wants, I sort of stick to these 10 ideas. Everything has a special meaning and everything is something I own and love or I know the person would appreciate. Sticking to this little roundup also makes shopping for people easy. Read on to see why I love to gift these 10 items.
I don’t know if it gets any easier than a sweater dress for the holidays. You’re warm and comfortable, yet it’s still festive at the same time. You can go with something more neutral like gray and add a pop with accessories or jewelry, or you can go more bold and wear red or green, perfect for Christmas. If you’re not a “get dressed up” kind of person, the sweater dress is your friend. It’s so easy to throw on and it’s even easier when you pair it on with OTK boots. Not much to think about, not a lot of pieces, and you’re comfortable. At 9 months pregnant, this is the way to go!
Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Are you getting all your Christmas shopping done? Over the weekend I did some major shopping, so I thought I’d share some of the goodies I ordered online. I’ve been thinking a lot about my wardrobe for once the baby gets here, or at least for those first initial months. I picked up some breastfeeding friendly tops, but wanted to get some new loungewear, at-home pieces that will make me feel put together and cute, but still comfortable. Read on to see what I snagged, plus I’m sharing some awesome Green Monday sales.
I had so much fun working with Shane Co. last year, so when they approached us about their #BigLittleGifts campaign for this holiday season, we jumped at the opportunity. This collaboration is actually super special to both Mike and I as we’re about to celebrate the biggest blessing in our life in just a few weeks.
If there’s anything I’m familiar with right now, it’s loungewear. I’ve been living in cozy pj sets, cardigans, and leggings because let’s face it, at 9 months, what else really works? Thankfully, it’s the perfect season to be living in loungewear and I’m sharing all my favorites below (all very perfect for Christmas morning, too!).
I wouldn’t consider myself a sequin person, but there’s something about the holidays that lead me down that road. If you’re going to do sequins, now’s the time, you know? I also think there’s a way to do it and there’s a way it looks really tacky. Some girls can really pull off the short dresses, while others go too short, too tight, and too much skin. As I talked about in my Holiday Wear: LBD post, I like to stick with a little balance. If I go short, I choose the dress with long sleeves. Or if I go tight, I choose the dress that’s more midi length. Also, since sequins is already a little fun and sexy, the rest of the dress can be more subtle (as in the silhouette).
Today’s blog post is all about YOUR favorites! I thought it would be fun to check out some of your favorites from Cyber Week and fill you in on some awesome restocks. Not everything I post or wear is a hit with you guys, so when I notice you gravitating toward certain items, I get excited. It’s even more fun when something I absolutely love is something you love as well. Read on for my reviews and restocks.
Happy Monday, friends! Can you believe it’s December? It’s officially Baby D’s birth month, although, I have a feeling she’ll come in January (due date Dec 30th). I can’t believe the time has finally come to get her out, lol. I’m freaking out just a little bit. The good news, we have most everything prepared for her and for me postpartum. I think I’m most stressed out about work. I still have so much to do. Trying to tell myself to just breathe.
In blog related news, I’ve been getting questions about coat recommendations, so I figured I’d do a post dedicated to my recent coat purchases. I’m sharing my reviews below as well as a roundup of awesome coats that are either on my wishlist or what I think would be great buys. I’m bummed about a couple J.Crew coats that sold out in petite sizes. I always tell myself to be on top of coat purchases, get them early, because they always sell out in my size. I’m crossing my fingers, at least this one comes back in-stock this winter.
Two things you may not know about Mike and I – we like things clean (we have a clutter-free house, we donate every other week, and our dogs are clean as can be) and health and wellness are a big thing in our family. We like to keep the food and products in our house as natural and organic as possible. I’ve been eating plant-based for 11 years and Mike went plant-based about 5 months ago (yay!). I guess you can say, we try to limit the chemicals as much as we can. With Baby D due to arrive in the next month, we’ve been cracking down even more.
