Happy Monday! How was your weekend? For the most part, ours was pretty mellow. I’m in the process of planning my baby shower (yes, I’m planning it because that’s just who I am), working on the nursery, and finding a new blog template and getting this blog more organized. Doing all that while still working has me all over the place. I don’t know if it’s because I’m pregnant or what, but I feel like I’m scatterbrained. I forgot to go to my hair appointment on Saturday and for no reason other than I forgot (yikes!). The inability to form sentences and remember words is ridiculous, too. I can admit it, I’m a hot mess these days.
I’ve been meaning to do a post/series like this for a while, but I kept forgetting to snap photos of my off-duty OOTD’s. I know how much you love seeing everyday outfits, so I’m making a conscious effort to document them even though it may be a legging and hoodie day. These are outfits I’m either wearing in the office, to run errands, or just running out the door in. Not anything I would think to take actual outfit photos of, but inspiration is inspiration, and maybe your in a rut with everyday outfits and this will inspire some of your off-duty looks. I’m aiming to document these everyday, but I’m just getting in the routine of taking photos everyday, so bare with me. Also, I may end up posting these in a different format, thinking of having them in my new newsletter (stay tuned for that), instead of posting on the blog. We’ll see though… I will keep you posted.
As mentioned several times already, I’m so ready for fall. We’ve actually had really nice weather this week, so I wouldn’t mind a couple more weeks of summer, but I’m just so darn excited for fall and everything that comes with it. I’ve always said fall was my favorite, but the older I get, the more I realize, nothing really compares to fall and the holiday season. It’s such a magical time of year and let’s face it, the fashion is the best! I’m going to do a more detailed post on my fall fashion must-haves in a couple weeks, but today I want to share some of the fall pieces I picked up from Nordstrom as well as what I’m looking forward to wearing once the temps cool down.
Today’s blog post is all about non-maternity, maternity style. I have yet to dive fully into maternity clothes yet, but I have a feeling I’ll be getting there soon. Throughout my pregnancy my goal is to continue wearing everything I possibly can that’s already in my closet. With that being said, I’m already struggling when it comes to jeans/pants, so I’ll need to find some solutions soon. Since I plan on wearing non-maternity clothes for the most part, I hope my pregnancy style will resonate with both women who are pregnant as well as those who aren’t. If I do style a maternity piece, I will also offer a non-maternity option, so you’re able to easily recreate my look no matter where you are in your life.
Happy Monday! How was your weekend? While exhausting, ours was pretty eventful. We had our 20 week ultrasound AND we bought a car! More on both below. I did want to mention how we got a break from the heat wave and man did it feel AMAZING. Sunday was glorious. We woke up to a bit of rain and overcast skies. I think it was in the mid 60’s-70’s throughout the day and I just loved every second of it. We slept in, cuddled in bed with the pups, Mike ran out and got us bagels and coffee, I got a bunch of stuff done on the computer, and then we headed out for sushi. One of my favorite days in a while!
Happy Friday! I’m ending the week by sharing some of my recent purchases I think you should know about. Some I’ve have and have been using and others I just snagged on sale. Lately, I’ve been all about comfort, so if you’re pregnant or just like some good ole comfort pieces, be sure to read on.
Wow, this post is just 2 years late, lol. Since I’m in the process of working with my aunt and cousin on my baby shower, I was pulling inspiration, and thought it would be a nice time to finally share my bridal shower. Sorry, if this seems super out of date, but everything came out so beautiful, it seems foolish not to share the images with you.
As mentioned yesterday, we’ve officially started on the nursery. I’m super excited for the whole process and can’t wait until everything starts to come together. A reader made a comment about us already having the crib up, which I guess seems early to her. I just figure, we have the time now, so why not get started. I’m a planner and I hate waiting until the last minute, so we’re going to get as much done as possible. Less stress and who knows how I’ll be feeling in the last trimester. Since I’m right in the middle of it and pieces are starting to trickle in (the rug arrives today!) I thought I’d share our modern nursery inspiration with you.
Happy Monday, friends! How was your weekend? We didn’t necessarily have a ton of things on our schedule, but we were randomly busy. We’re starting to get down to business on getting organized with all things baby. We told ourselves we’d start once we got back from the Bay Area, and let’s just say, there’s a lot. We have to plan our California baby shower in October, get the registry down, start the nursery, plan content for the upcoming holiday season, figure out our blog/work schedule once baby gets here, okay I can go on and on. I’m hoping by staying busy up until baby D gets here, I’ll be less anxious for her to get here (yes, I’m already like, I want to meet you, lol).
