I had so much fun working with Shane Co. last year, so when they approached us about their #BigLittleGifts campaign for this holiday season, we jumped at the opportunity. This collaboration is actually super special to both Mike and I as we’re about to celebrate the biggest blessing in our life in just a few weeks.
If there’s anything I’m familiar with right now, it’s loungewear. I’ve been living in cozy pj sets, cardigans, and leggings because let’s face it, at 9 months, what else really works? Thankfully, it’s the perfect season to be living in loungewear and I’m sharing all my favorites below (all very perfect for Christmas morning, too!).
I wouldn’t consider myself a sequin person, but there’s something about the holidays that lead me down that road. If you’re going to do sequins, now’s the time, you know? I also think there’s a way to do it and there’s a way it looks really tacky. Some girls can really pull off the short dresses, while others go too short, too tight, and too much skin. As I talked about in my Holiday Wear: LBD post, I like to stick with a little balance. If I go short, I choose the dress with long sleeves. Or if I go tight, I choose the dress that’s more midi length. Also, since sequins is already a little fun and sexy, the rest of the dress can be more subtle (as in the silhouette).
Today’s blog post is all about YOUR favorites! I thought it would be fun to check out some of your favorites from Cyber Week and fill you in on some awesome restocks. Not everything I post or wear is a hit with you guys, so when I notice you gravitating toward certain items, I get excited. It’s even more fun when something I absolutely love is something you love as well. Read on for my reviews and restocks.
Happy Monday, friends! Can you believe it’s December? It’s officially Baby D’s birth month, although, I have a feeling she’ll come in January (due date Dec 30th). I can’t believe the time has finally come to get her out, lol. I’m freaking out just a little bit. The good news, we have most everything prepared for her and for me postpartum. I think I’m most stressed out about work. I still have so much to do. Trying to tell myself to just breathe.
In blog related news, I’ve been getting questions about coat recommendations, so I figured I’d do a post dedicated to my recent coat purchases. I’m sharing my reviews below as well as a roundup of awesome coats that are either on my wishlist or what I think would be great buys. I’m bummed about a couple J.Crew coats that sold out in petite sizes. I always tell myself to be on top of coat purchases, get them early, because they always sell out in my size. I’m crossing my fingers, at least this one comes back in-stock this winter.
Two things you may not know about Mike and I – we like things clean (we have a clutter-free house, we donate every other week, and our dogs are clean as can be) and health and wellness are a big thing in our family. We like to keep the food and products in our house as natural and organic as possible. I’ve been eating plant-based for 11 years and Mike went plant-based about 5 months ago (yay!). I guess you can say, we try to limit the chemicals as much as we can. With Baby D due to arrive in the next month, we’ve been cracking down even more.
It’s officially that time of year where I can’t stop thinking or talking about coats. I have quite the collection, but of course, can never have too many. I blame it on the Oregon climate. At least they all get used, right? This season I’ve been all about the checked coat. They’re sophisticated and elevate your look instantly, which is what we all look for in a coat anyway, right? The check and plaid prints are a nice pop of print in my overly saturated neutral closet. Now, if we could just get more options in petite sizes, please?!
As promised, today I’m sharing everything I ordered during Cyber Week. I waited until Black Friday to make a lot of baby purchases, so there’s those along with a couple fashion related items. I’ve never shopped so much during this holiday, but I’m happy to report the nursery will be complete once everything arrives. There will be more baby/motherhood related posts in the new year (what I’ve used throughout my pregnancy, nursery details, postpartum essentials, etc.), so for those of you asking about that, stay tuned. I would love to hear what you guys ordered. Any big purchases? Bags that you scored on deep discount? I’m also sharing some sales that are still going on if you didn’t quite complete your holiday shopping to-do list.
Happy Monday, friends! How was your Thanksgiving weekend? We had a very low key Thanksgiving with family and then celebrated my birthday on Saturday. I opted to stay in and help my aunt cook a plant-based Korean feast and it was everything this pregnant mama-to-be could ask for. I’m nearly 9 months pregnant, so good food and relaxation sounded like the best way to celebrate, lol. I’ve also been doing a ton of online shopping… Tomorrow I’ll be sharing everything I ordered over the weekend, so stay tuned! While I feel like I’ve done all my shopping, there’s still so many great sales happening for Cyber Monday. If you’re still on the hunt for a couple more deals, below I’m sharing the best Cyber Monday sales along with even more of my outfits that are on sale.
