Sorel, Reimagined for Spring // 5 Reasons you Need a Camel Coat in Your Closet

Well, it’s that time of year. That time where you look back and reflect on all the bad outfits you wore in the last year. I’m kidding… well, kind of. When I was going through all the looks I put together this year, it does appear I had a pretty dreadful summer. Most of my favorite photos came from the beginning of the year (Jan-May) and the rest are more recent. I guess you can say documenting your outfits for an entire year has it’s upside. You learn so much about what works and what doesn’t and it helps you understand your growth when it comes to style. I wouldn’t wear 90% of what I wore in the summer and it’s only been 3 months. Just goes to show how your style is always evolving. With that being said, I think you can see my bread and butter has always been simple, classic outfits that are very wearable. It’s what I’ve always been drawn to and what you’ll continue to see moving forward.

The other thing I learned by looking back on the past year’s outfits, I’m still refining my style. I utilize a private Pinterest Board to collect inspiration on how I would like to dress and I’m always working toward achieving chic, elevated looks by using a neutral color palette. Although I’m not there yet, the great thing about style and having a blog, I get to keep documenting my progress, get feedback from you, and hopefully inspire some outfits along the way.

Thank you for following my style journey, through the good, the bad, and the ugly. Cheers to 2017 being our best year yet and to acquiring even more closet staples!
